Wine tasting

Occitanie is the largest wine producing area in France and represents more than 30% of the total wine production of the country. The construction of the Canal du Midi in 1681 has largely contributed to develop the transport and sales of wine. Wine making is THE most important economic ressource for the Aude.

The appellations of the Aude are: Corbières, Boutenac, Cabardès, Limoux, La Clape, Malepère, Minervois, Fitou et Muscat (Saint Jean Minervois).

​

As we are surrounded by vineyards and wine making estates, we are happy to share some of our favorite wine estates.  Why not combine a wine tasting with a masterclass on food and wine pairing. 

 

At only a few kilometers of the house you can visit and have a wine tasting at these estates: Château de Ventenac, le Château Paraza, le Château Cabezac.

Le Domaine Cailhol Gautran se situe dans le hameau de Cailhol. Vin : La Table du Loup AOC : Minervois. (Syrah: 80%, Grenache noir: 20%)
