Our favorite restaurants
Are you familiar with some of the typical dishes of the Aude or Occitania?
Do you immediately think about cassoulet ? How about olives, goat cheese, sea food, oysters and winter truffle? The oysters from Gruissan and Leucate, the wild asparagus in spring and so many more. The wild boar stew in winter, grilled sardines, olive tapenades.
We try to buy local and support small local producers as much as possible. We offer fresh, quality products for breakfast and dinner (table d'hôtes is possible upon request).

La Bonne Excuse - Narbonne
This really was a very nice experience. The food offer was excellent, well decorated room, warm welcome and friendly service, well dressed plates, and open on a Monday night (not often the case in Narbonne). Only downside: the waiting was quite long. Read more

Relais Chantovent - Minerve
This restaurant has a beautiful terrace with a stunning view on the Gorges du Brian. Nicolas serves a cuisine with a lot of taste and technique. The welcome is always warm, they have a very nice wine offer and this superb address is definitely in our top 3. Read more
Chez Bebelle aux Halles de Narbonne et Maison Bebelle
A place you should not miss when passing by the market LesHalles de Narbonne. This is where rugby enthousiasts meet up. Gilles - in charge of the meat orders and previous rugby player - shouts the orders to his butchers by megaphone. and picks up the meat packages thrown back at him in the air. The menu is simple: grilled meat, fries/chips (sorry, not the right color of chips for a Belgian like me 😊) green salad and home made desserts. It is worth the detour, for the show aspect, the honest food and the market ambiance. Their second restaurant La Maison Bebelle is situated right in front of the Halles de Narbonne. Read more
